Currents of Practice 2025 Ebook
The Currents of Practice 2025 e-book offers a digital record of the inaugural exhibition and public program held at Coolart Wetlands for World Wetlands Day. This edition brings the project into an accessible format, gathering the artists’ works, conversations and place-based responses into a publication that can be shared, revisited and circulated well beyond the site.
Where the physical exhibition existed only for a moment in time, the e-book extends its reach, preserving documentation, images, artist reflections and curatorial thinking that shaped the first year of Currents of Practice. It provides an entry point for readers, students, educators and community members who are unable to visit Coolart in person, while continuing to honour the depth of the artists’ engagement with the wetlands.
Proceeds from the e-book will contribute to the development of the 2026 Currents of Practice e-book and paperback, helping to support an annual archive of the project as it evolves.
Designed by Hamish Payne, the e-book sits alongside the print edition as part of a broader commitment to documenting contemporary, place-responsive practice at Coolart Wetlands on Bunurong Boon Wurrung Country. It reflects the collaborative spirit behind the program and offers an enduring record of the 2025 exhibition.
